CLAI: AGAINST ILLER COVRILINA
With reference to the illegal seizure of our S. S.
"Sagres" by the Japanese Navy on 8th Inst. and her continued
detention in the Pescadores, the detalls of which you are
already familiar with.
We would thank you to present, through the proper
channels, our formal claim herewith for compensation.

STATEM IN OF ALATU
DENURMAGE: – We clain the sun of N.K.$1000.00 per day
as from 5th April 1939 until such time as the vessel
is returned to us at this port.
While the vessel was actually seized on 8th April,
she was, due to interference by the Japanese Navy
while loading cargo, out of scrvice as from 5th
April.
BUTTER COAL AND FRESH MATR:- There were 266 tons of
Bunker Coal and 420 tons of Fresh Water on board the
"Sagres" on 5th April valued as follows:
266 tons coal @ $19.50
